Directly under China`s Ministry of Education,Jiangnan University `JU` is a key university of the 211 Project. With the strategic aim of building a research-oriented university with distinctive characteristics, JU offers degree programs in 10 areas including science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, literature, law, economics, management, education and arts. At present, 4 disciplines ranks top five in the third round of national disciplinary assessment. Its engineering science, agriculture, biology and biochemistry, and chemistry rank top 1% in ESI global influence ranking. After a century`s development and half-a-century`s independent education, Jiangnan University has been built into a comprehensive university with distinctive characteristics. Now it has 18 schools offering 52 undergraduate programs, 6 post-doctoral research stations, 6 doctorate authorization first-level disciplines, 26 master degree authorization first-level disciplines and 5 professional master’s degree authorization categories.
