Sichuan University China

Sichuan University, located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is identified as a key high-level comprehensive research university of China. Currently, it consists of three campuses, covering an area of 470 hectares. The history of Sichuan University can be traced back to 1896. It is one of the first batch of the earliest higher education institute in China. Sichuan University has a comprehensive range of disciplines in 11 categories, namely, liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine, economy, management, law, history, philosophy, agriculture and education. It has 30 colleges, and a postgraduate school and an overseas education college. Sichuan University has 35 primary disciplines which offer doctor and master degrees. There are over 40,000 undergraduate students, over 20,000 master and Ph.D. candidates and more than 1000 foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. There are 4 affiliated hospitals to the university.
