Pusan National University (PNU) is a prestigious national university located in Busan, the second largest city in Korea and a gateway to the Eurasian continent. It was established as Korea’s first national university on May 15, 1946, and now has the status of Korea’s best national university. Pusan National University has fulfilled its mission as a regional hub university, actively engaged in the past 70 years of successful industrialization and democratization in South Korea. As 2019 marks the 73rd anniversary of its foundation, the university focuses on strengthening its research and educational capacities as Korea’s best national university.
