Thirteen UAB graduate programs were ranked in the top 25 in U.S. News & World Reportโs 2019 โAmericaโs Best Graduate Schoolโ list, and 10 UAB specialties were ranked among the nationโs top 50 programs of their kind in the U.S. News 2017-2018 Best Hospitals list. Total research expenditures at UAB exceeded $562 million in 2017. UAB’s research funding from the National Institutes of Health, based on 2016 figures, ranks eighth among public universities.
