The main purpose of the Prize is to reward academic excellence in undergraduate courses in Politics and International Relations.
Eligibility for Jonathan Hunt Prize in Politics and International Relations 2020:

The Prize will be awarded annually to the full-time undergraduate student majoring in Politics and International Relations who achieves the best grades in Politics and International Relations.
As a minimum standard, the student should have achieved a GPA of 7.00 (equivalent to an A- average).

Value of Jonathan Hunt Prize in Politics and International Relations 2020:

The value of the Prize will be NZD 500.

The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of the Deputy Head (Academic) of the School of Social Sciences (or nominee) in consultation with the Discipline Convenor of Politics and International Relations. The Prize was established in 2006 and is financed from funds that have been donated by the Right Honourable Johnathan Hunt OBE.
