Manipal University (MU), formerly known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education, a deemed to be University, established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 vide Government of India notification no. F.9-8/89-U.3 dated 1st June 1993 and located at manipal.edu, Madhav Nagar, Manipal 576 104, Karnataka, India. MU provides education and also conducts research in the field of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Allied Health Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Information Sciences, Nursing, Media and Communication, Management, Life Sciences, Hotel Management, Regenerative Medicine etc.
