Located in the heart of Australia`s largest high-technology precinct 15 kilometres from the centre of Sydney, Macquarie benefits from an environment of outstanding research and innovation, as well as learning and teaching opportunities with some of the worlds leading organisations. Macquarie recently received 5 QS Stars in the areas of teaching, employability, research, internationalisation, facilities, innovation, access and specialist subjects. Macquarie is one of only five Australian universities to receive five stars in all categories. Additionally, 85 per cent of Macquarie`s research activity is regarded by the Australian Government as being of world standard or higher. Macquarie is also known for its distinctive undergraduate curriculum which incorporates national and international community engagement opportunities for all students, helping to build their communication, problem-solving and leadership skills. Macquarie enrols around 38,000 students annually across four faculties and employs more than 2000 staff.
