Tuition fees in Austrian universities are affordable and there are many jobs for international students
Indian students who have plans to study abroad can consider Austria as their favourable destination. It has a diversified set of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) which include, 22 public universities-six universities of Arts, three medical universities and three technical universities, 16 private universities, 21 universities of Applied Sciences and 14 universities and colleges imparting teaching education. More than 60,000 international students have already chosen to pursue their overseas higher studies in Austria. As per the Legatum Prosperity Index that studied 167 countries around the globe, Austria ranked fourth in safety and security, 22nd in education, fifth in the natural environment, eleventh in living conditions and fourteenth in personal freedom.

Possible to study in Austria without clearing IELTS
Students with decent academic records academic degrees or a course and have cleared language proficiency levels in the Pearson Test of English (PET) Exam and C1 Advanced Exam can apply. They need not clear IELTS to be eligible to study in Austria. There are many such universities in Austria that allow international students to study without clearing IELTS. Some of the Austrian universities that follow this eligibility criterion are; the Modul University, Vienna, Vienna University, Technical University Graz, University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Johannes Kepler University, University of Salzburg and the University of Innsbruck. Apart from this, there are some Austrian government scholarships which international students can avail without clearing IELTS that are; the Institute of Science and Technology Austria Scholarship, the Government of Austria Scholarships and the Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship.
Increased job opportunities in Austria
To get good jobs, students need to have proficiency in English. Being proficient in the German language is an added advantage as it is also a native language in Austria. There have been many instances when students who while pursuing studies in a university, are selected as research assistants or teaching assistants in the same university. Also, many of the students get on-campus jobs in the international student branch of the university, faculty administration, library of the department and even in the college cafe.
Conducive environment for studies
The biggest advantage for international students is that studying in Austria is economical as the fee per semester is around 70,000 INR. Unlike other European countries, the cost of living is comparatively cheaper in Austria. Universities in the country offer a plethora of full-time and short-term courses in almost every stream. Apart from this, as per the Global Peace Index (GPI), Austria has been consistently ranked in the list of top 10 countries and it is one of the happiest countries to live in as is being indicated by the World Happiness Report.
