Students studying with Australian provider will be able to avail ofย location-specific employability information and tools.

Features in the hub include the previously announcedย Work Readiness microcredential,ย designed in partnership withย Successful Graduate, anย Industry Experience Program, bringing students around theย world with others in Australia to work in small teams withย employers on real-world industry projects, and information onย volunteer and industry experience.

The volunteering program will allow international students to “explore a range of ways to improve their during-study and post-study employment prospects”, Austrade added.

“By providing a range of work-related resources in one location, in a simplified easy-to-follow format, the new employability hub is helping students connect to the skills, courses and opportunities they needed to achieve their personal and professional goals,” said head ofย International Education Centre of Excellence at Austrade,ย Melissa Banks.

Other guidance the digital hub includes aroundย work rights and protection laws, in addition toย advice and information on seeking employment for before and after studies in Australia.

“Recent sector disruption has resulted in rapid enhancements and innovation in Australia’s digital services for students, including in education and training delivery,” Banks added.

The employability hub is one of the new features for the Study Australia website being developed under the digital education hub initiative, Austrade added.

Austradeย International Education special project leadย Eliza Chui expanded on the agency’s plans to rebuild the sector at the recent English Australia conference.

The government body is also working on anย upcoming partner hub providing resources for education agents andย Australian education providerย representatives.

In 2020,ย StudyPerth launched a Student Hub focusing onย students’ wellness and wellbeing, as well asย employability and entrepreneurship.
